Fishing Frenzy Fridays

About this event

Learn the ins and outs of fishing in Jamaica Bay! Participants will also learn about fish identification, fishing equipment and techniques, angling ethics, and aquatic ecology. All supplies, including rods and bait will be provided. Each session is limited to 15 fishing rods; families/small groups are encouraged to share a rod. Please only register for one session per Friday, to give others a chance to fish. If a session is sold out, email scspeducation@parks.ny.gov or call (718)-277-2420 ext 5003 to learn how to be added to the waitlist. Adaptable fishing equipment is available, but limited in supply per session. Specialized equipment is reserved for anybody who may need assistance holding a rod. Contact us directly for more details about what is available. The pier is approximately 0.5 miles from the Pennsylvania Avenue Parking Lot along a paved path, you will have to walk along Hendrix Creek Road to meet up at the pier for the program, approximately 20 minutes. Session times: 2-2:45pm, 3-3:45pm, and 4-4:45pm
