Calling all teens! Come hang out and dance the night away at Manhattan Anti-Prom, the Library’s annual celebration for teens, featuring music, art activities, snacks, and more. Special outfits are optional… but always encouraged! Anti-Prom welcomes and celebrates young people of all sexualities and gender identities and expressions. Featuring a special fashion show by student designers from the High School of Fashion Industries! Register now for free! This event is TOTALLY FREE, although you do have to be between the ages of 12 and 18 to RSVP. (Proof of age is required and you must check any bags on arrival.) This year we are celebrating 20 years of Anti-Prom at The New York Library with events in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Explore one of our enhanced Teen Centers at select locations, featuring state-of-the-art tech, 3-D printers, recording equipment, and more. Join us for free programs and events, including author talks, gaming, and movies. And, of course, discover millions of books, comics, manga, DVDs, and more—all free to borrow with a library card.
