The Good+ Daddy Summer Stroll, presented in partnership with Prospect Park Alliance, is a heartwarming and joyful free event designed to honor the bond between fathers and their children. Families will have a chance to spend quality time together for a leisurely adventure in Prospect Park, while celebrating the special role fathers play in their family’s lives. Enjoy scenic nature walks in the heart of Brooklyn’s Backyard with a live DJ, nature education activities, face painting, art and crafts and more at this family friendly day of fun.

The Rock and Roll Playhouse Plays the Music of Queen + More for Kids
The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll.

Free Kayaking
Free public kayaking at Brooklyn Bridge Park is offered throughout the summer on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Presented in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse. All levels are welcome including first-time kayakers — life vests and all equipment provided, as well as instruction. Children under 18 must have an adult guardian present. Advanced registration required, providing 20 minute timed slots, which open on a rolling basis 2 weeks out from each date.

Tot Time Tuesdays
Learn about nature with toddler-friendly crafts and activities, a storytime at 11:30am, and a short hike at 12pm. This event is catered towards children aged 2 through 5, but all ages are welcome. All children must be accompanied by a guardian for the duration of the event. Crafts while supplies last. There is not an indoor space at this event. It will take place entirely outdoors.

Free Youth Basketball Clinics
Kids aged 4-17 can join Brooklyn Bridge Park for free basketball clinics led by KING Hoops, NYC’s premier youth basketball organization on Tuesdays in June & July. Learn basketball basics as head coaches lead participants through drills and games. The first hour 5:00-6:00 PM will be for beginner players who are brand new to the sport. Here you’ll learn the very basic fundamentals of the game, the rules of the game, and getting acclimated to having a ball in each player’s hands. The second hour 6:00-7:00 PM will be for advanced beginners to intermediate players who have played a little bit more basketball experience. Emphasis will be on ball handling, passing, shooting form, defense, and learning to love the game. Registration required, but the clinics are free.

Grab a set of wireless headphones and dance to your own beat! This is a fun party for all ages where you can individually tune-in to the channel of your choice, while dancing with others. Sound Off Experience DJs will curate some amazing music making you want to bust out all your favorite moves. This event is FREE and open to all ages of the public. Open Bluegrass Jam Session
Open Bluegrass Jam Sessions are scheduled throughout the 2025 season, weather permitting. Bring your guitar, ukulele, banjo, etc., and join in! All skill levels and ages are welcome. Kids are invited to dance along and even touch the instruments after the session.
